Rules

Please read through our rules and point systems.

Three 15 minute stop time periods.
No overtime games except championship game.
Running time in 3 rd period in case of a 5-goal lead.
Running time in any period in case of a 6-goal lead.
In case of overtime, it will be 4 on 4 for 5 minutes stop time. If still tied, a 5-person shootout will take place. If still tied, with the remaining players a shootout will continue until a winner is determined.
Each team received 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and ½ point for a shutout.
If both teams tie 0-0, both teams get extra ½ point.
1 st tie breaker is head to head.
2 nd tie breaker is goals against.
3 rd tie breaker is goals for minus goals against.
4 th tie breaker will be a coin flip by tourney coordinator.
A maximum goal differential of 8 goals will be allowed per game. This is to prevent running up the score to secure a win in the 3rd tie-breaker.
All other rules will be followed as read in USA hockey manual.
Championship T-shirts will be awarded to the winners of the championship game only.

Squirt rules will be applied for the 99 and 00-01 tournaments, (No checking, ect…).
98 boys will follow Pee Wee rules with checking.
High School Boys and Girls will follow MN High School rules.
No graduates are allowed in high school games.
All tournaments will use tag-up off-sides.

Any player with 3 penalties will be ejected from game
Two game ejections (for any reason) will be disqualified from tournament.
First FIGHTING offense, game disqualification. We will keep track from game to game.
Second FIGHTING offense, tournament disqualification.
